Gift giving

Pete in MI

New member
The pressures of 'gift giving' at Christmas. So many struggle to do the best they can for their children...even at the risk of being caught stealing. Then too there is the pressure by businesses to push material items on (or around) Black Friday - even after a day of being thankful for what one has...they fight to get more. Christmas is best when we take time to recognize and are thankful for the GIFT given to us by our Father in Heaven. Such a precious gift and one that was torturous and deadly to get yet Jesus gave up all to be with us, to instruct us, to die in our place so we could live and arose from the grave. This is the TRUE GIFT of Christmas. All the rest is man's idea of gift giving. One can give gifts or not - just remember Christmas gift from God - His Son, Jesus.

Amen Pete! Without Jesus' virgin birth and of His dying in our place as the greatest gift from God that the world ever has received for mankind to have eternal life, there would be no Christmas nor any reason for the season! Praise God Jehovah and thank You, Jesus, for everything You have done for us and everything that You still do for us! Amen!
