Hey Slay - the one with the nick was down about 6 inches - the second one (1903-O) was down a good 7 to 9 inches (sort of tough to really tell when you're digging in a cornfield. HH - Hawkeye Jim

I could always "recycle" old button finds like they do on other sites

I had a 10 yr younger, "high maintenence" gal who thought metal detecting was stupid & partying was more "cool"
I learned that lesson & won't make that mistake again

You'll have to turn every rock over to see if it's not hiding a "target" (behavior). OR, of course you can just make like it's a toy drum and be content with just bangin' the buhgeebus out of it. Actually, a combination of both ain't a bad approach.
