Ghost town finds

No silver here, just some goodies from a site I have pounded with everything I own, newest coin to date for this location is 1875.
field one
5 tones/. all metal
multi freq
threshold 5
iron volume 9

I tried tracking and it kept climbing to 70-80 not acceptable, I believe it was tracking the iron/minerals.
the other GB modes worked fine the iron was so bad I would have to balance away from the site and work my way back to hunt.
I have found several of the C.M.H with anchor disk's they are home made tokens I believe.
3 general service buttons
1 1856 slanted 5 large cent
My friend a veteran detectorist hunted along side me for several hours and never found a non ferrous target. He is now looking at buying an Equinox.

What other machines have you used at that site, and was this in a particular spot that is defined? I am going to take mine to an old house site with a defined spot north of the sidewalk where i have hit it with ever thing i have ever owned. I am optimistic i can find something the others missed.

Wow! Very impressive!! Love the large cent and the eagle buttons. Silver smilver, lol. I think the equinox is going to sell many more of its own to others when they see this thing work in the iron. We had better enjoy our advantage while we have it!

Don't get frustrated as these are tough environments, just think your way through it
3 different ml's and another very popular high trash machine. They all found stuff but had played completely out.
A very defined area every scoop has multiple nails, brick, pottery, and treasure:beers:

laplander,

I'm glad to see that you had some success in a high iron trash environment with the stock coil. I have a planned ghost town outing the end of April and I am doubting the 6" coil is going to be available by then. Of course, I'm still waiting for my September ordered Equinox as well, so I may be without an Equinox anyway. Regardess, this gives me some hope that i can do some searching with the 11" coil attached and have a hope for finding a keeper or two.

Excellent post. Nice finds all the way around.

Thanks for taking the time to post and pic.

Nice finds buddy! Save a few for me! HH Randy

Not a minelab, so mentioning it would be a comparison and I don't want to get banned just yet :punch:
