places where they "guard" things closely. Here in Az some guys put up everything to mine areas . My wife & I were looking for fire agate one time and saw a worked area and a guy there. I asked if we could look over things and he said - as he put his hand on the .44 he was wearing - sure, but dont let me see you pick up anything!
Same thing for the gold producing areas - well protected sometimes. I have seen numerous areas along the gold producing streams and hills that have notices in no uncertain terms. So one has to be aware of their surroundings. steve in so az
