Hey guys, few questions for ya. Okay, so I want to start water detecting, preferably underwater. What's a good detector for water detecting, and what's a good approach at starting?

Thanks!

Not trying to be nasty, but spend a few nights reading everything you can on this forum. It's all been answered many times over. Also, there are other forums on the net that have loads of information. IMHO some forums take on a certain personality of the people who support it and this forum has the kindest and probably the most experienced group of water hunters on the net. jim

I re-read your post and saw the word "underwater". If that in fact means using some form of air, either SCUBA or Surface Supplied Air, complete the associated training as your first step. Ain't no shortcuts to staying alive in the diving environment. It's probably safer than driving down the highway if you get the required training. You wouldn't think of driving the freeway without proper training. Why try diving without the proper training? jim
