Great machine!
Get a big long handled sand scoop!
You might hear some people speakin' chinese when ya' dig some o' your holes!
It's the deepest seeking detector that I own, aside from the two-box depth multipliers, of course.
Get ready to be diggin' everything if ya want to get the gold.
I personally usually hunt in discrete trash eliminantion mode with a low elimination setting(zero, if possible, maybe a slight increase for better stability). When I get a target, in order to pinpoint better, I switch to standard trash elimination for a much stronger signal.
You'll be diggin' a ton of iron and foil bits-you name it, but you'll also get the gold and goodies missed by guys with VLF machines. If you want to go super deep, then get the 10"x14" mono. I haven't taken it of, since I got it. I always hip mount the control box.
You can knock out most pulltabs and still pick up some gold rings by using the discrete trash elimination. The 8" mono works best for that, however you will lose some depth. This is best used only in areas that are infested with pulltabs, while looking for recently lost gold that should'nt be too deep.
