Getting ready to purchase

After lots of research, and talking to several fellow detectorists, I have decided to purchase the Minelab X Terra 70. I've been in the hobby for about 8 years or so, and haven't had much opportunity over the past year to detect. Well, that's changing this year! I love my Garrett Ace 250, but I needed to step up in features and I need to get a bit deeper.

Any advice and tips you can give will be greatly appreciated. Been watching the board and getting caught up on things. Probably been about 2 years since I posted here!

Thanks fellow detectorists!

Minelab X Terra 70 has my vote.I think you are making a good choice.

Congrats on making the decision to purchase the X-70. Although all three X-Terras are capable detectors, the X-70 offers quite a few features (and functionality) to accomplish most any detecting task. If you've not taken the opportunity to review the FAQFAQ section at the top of these posts, I encourage you to do so. In it you will find several articles designed to help you get started with your X-70. As well, feel free to search our archives or to ask questions to the other members. There are a LOT of excellent posts, and very helpful folks currently using the X-70, who will be more than happy to offer their assistance. HH Randy

Digger is right . You must visit the FAQFAQ section. It has hours of information. I read everything I could on the X-70 before I got mine. I honestly feel that was the most important factor on my, 'hitting' the ground running when my machine came in. If you hunt in tones, (And I assume you will) wait until you hear the sweeeet sound of a dime or quarter. Good Luck.
