Welcome Bob...The X-Terra-70 is as good as you have heard. Lot of knowledgeable people here who are more than willing to answer any questions. HH and Good Luck TomB:detecting:
 
To be honest there isn't that much involved with setting the 70 up to hunt. Just about the hardest thing to figure out is getting to the beach and target stabilizing modes. If you can do that you have it whipped!
