Headed out this morning for another water hunt. The ambient temperature was just a few degrees above freezing, with a moderate wind. I wore my chest waders, and my neoprene gloves which extend up to my elbows. That worked just great! I lasted about 4-5 hours. I did get a brass or bronze ring, several coins and a beautiful silver ladies Victorian style cuff.

The cuff is shown below. I have it tumbling in my stainless steel shot tumbler over night to try and restore it.

Nice finds! Especially that cuff. Where do you get the stainless steel shot at? I've heard that does a great job on silver. You know, when I was a teenager working at a slaughter house, we would take the big stainless meat hooks and throw them in a cement mixer with shredded newspaper. Let it run for a couple of hours and they would come out looking brand new. Just some useless info if anyone was needing any, lol.

That is a sweet cuff! Lets see how it turned out after a tumbling!:clapping: I also worked in a slaughterhouse at one point in my career, good gosh amighty!

John you need to take a vacation and come down to South Carolina. It is 3:50 EDT and the temp is 91 degrees. Went out for a while this morning with my son and we burned out about 1pm. He found his first silver coin. A 1941 Merc.
