Starting using a detector bag a couple months ago after getting a nasty scratch on the screen of my XS while driving.. Pretty handy devices.. Found hundreds of coil cases to pick from on ebay miss classified as racquet cases.. pics

That is exactly what I am looking for. I was thinking along the same lines as you, but all I could come up with would be cymbal bags for drum sets. I definitely like your idea much more and think even the local Goodwill might have a couple laying on the shelves.
