I'm getting good at finding pull tabs, twist tops, and crown caps!
If I do a noise cancel above no targets, then go in to programing and reject a hand full of , say pull tabs that have been dug in the area then reject them then do it again with some tewist caps that have been dug in the area will I be able to search and find something a little beter?
Thanks, Cliff

Yeah,
I am thinking of going into the salvage aluminum business! I am NOT IN DIGITAL EITHER!
The quarters show in approximately the same place as the aluminum cans!

I find that you can teach the machine to reject pull tabs but there are so many types that if you reject them all you will miss rings too. If you're going to do that at all you should only reject the types that are numerous in that particular location that are driving you crazy and hope you don't miss any rings. From what I can see, detectors can distinguish easily from iron junk but I don't think even the Explorer can tell for sure if it's a ring or a pull tab....that's something that is possibly in the distant future of technology. Better to dig when not sure! -Dave

and after a while I could tell the difference between bottle caps and quarters or dimes. The bottle caps will sound more musical and not as soft of tone. Also the crosshairs will stay more in the upper right and not bounce around as much on silver coins. Keep at it, there is a difference and once you figure it out you will dig very few caps. Good luck..........D.

that I read that was using digital mode.I don't have any probs with aluminum reading as quarter I find all my little bits of aluminum where low gold reads.which I dig my share
