Getting Better Down There...Got Me Some "Gangsta Bling"...

Well there were definitely a few more targets out there today. Took my Excalibur down for the morning low tide for a few hours. Saw Big Dave, held that 26" gold chain he found yesterday...IMPRESSIVE!

As for me, sure had some good sounding targets but nothing to write home about yet. A junk ring, a silver bracelet, a 1965 quarter that was halfway to China, and a commemorative of what is probably my favorite movie of all time.

I did about 3 hours of hunting and an hour on the rollerblades...more people out there today than I've seen in a very long time, with the huge soccer and volleyball tourney going on. Tonight and tomorrow morning should be real good for detecting. Maybe better in the dry sand than the wet for a change.

I went down, but 2 hours after low tide. (Had to wait for the visiting Granddaughter and Granny to get moving) Guess the ocean breeze the last few days just covered the beach with new sand... Had to dig half way to China for what I got. Nice silver LARGE fancy loop earring, some clad and a 6" beautiful Pontiac Firebird. As High Tide approached, there wasn't enough beach left to detect without tripping over the sun bathers or "beach rats" playing at water's edge. Hope to get out late afternoon at low tide and see what it is like.

Yeah, the crowds down there now make it impossible to detect. That's why I go to the wee hour low tide. Like, if it's at 4am then I'm there from 2 to 6. Very peaceful, very free and easy. This morning it was at 6:13, so I hunted from about 4:30 to 8:00. It was already getting crowded. By the time I left after rollerblading at 9:30 there must have been 10,000 people out there...or more.
