Getting behind on posting my Finds with the Trac

I have some better finds that I need to group up ......when i can find the time to break from hunting....

These where deep.... Real DEEP......with a 6inch coil No Less sense it is The Season I will call them "The Nut Crackers"

there where what appeared to be 6 halfs and a big one and a bunch of V and shields that have not been cleaned.....

the sixth half fell apart it was a 1789 4 reale pretty bad watching a nice coin fall apart in your hands salt had ate it through...but most old sea dogs are familiar with the process...

the seated dime... what is left was 1853 before it broke into peaces....

Well there is much more where these came from My buddy got a Morgan ...needless to say we are looking for gold coins they do not fall

apart anyway we will dig it all and sort it later.....I would say more.... but I can not give to much at this time. Sorry I am behind on my find pictures ......this was Saturdays Hunt!

be sure to click on the full size view at bottom of Photo album link

Wow Jim if I was finding stuff like that I would be getting behind on posting too. LOL
Looks like you have an awesome place to hunt. Wild how the salt eats the silver though.

I enjoyed the hunt last week. Great group of guys that just enjoy being with friends and hunting. I was very impressed
with the Etrac. Those were some of the toughest fields to hunt and the Etrac went thru them no problem. Pic of "V"
Button I found. That's my 15th "V" Button. Let me know how the TDI and your new Red Heat do down there.
GH,
Dan

Enjoyed the hunt with RebThunder. That field has been worked hard, but Dan found a nice button with the Red Heat and Jamie found a coin button like mine. Shawn was glad to be there and helped clean up the site, as we all did. Lots of can slaw and dropped lead...Not bad for a half day .....priceless as far as new and old friends getting together......

Etrac found a coin that was smaller than a half dime. It was down in the hard pan five or six inches....it has a large-cent Eagle and coronet on each side and the words "Constitution" and "Mark Spiel" on one side, and "Mark Spiel" on the other .....I guess it is the oldest play money i have found?
Coin button and a Whatsit?.... the Trac ran great in a large iron field with gumbo dirt.....

The coins, found sometime in November, were never posted on any site....notice the 1932 S Quarter -- 185 dollars in G4 and a 41 S and 43 plain and another 1721H

This is a barrel tap that is whole ...I have dug a lot of these but never a WHOLE ONE .....found with 6 inch Esquare coil at 20 -24 inches .......REAL DEEP .......3 half-dollars and one 4-reale were in the 13 -16 inch range with the above coil.....not bad for a small coil. This coil tested deeper than a stock 8" coil.......

Saturday's Trash Finds -- Some of this big brass and Big Lead -- All Deep ....only way to master a machine is to get out and dig and use your thinking CAP .....

Again, I would like to thank Dan and James for the invite and look forward to seeing Lamar and Eddie again....

I'll need the FE and CO on that one too. I been looking all over for one of those. Better than a gold nugget and faster on the blacktop too. Great finds Jim....have fun from an YZF-R1 rider. Tortoise
