Getting a used Mxt in a few days but kinda nervous

Hello everyone im new to the mxt forum. I recently picked up a used Mxt from Ebay and should get it soon. Its one hell of a machine from what ive read. But i am a bit concearned because the guy i bought it from is kind of a squirrel. From day one he gave me a shaddy traking number and then i had to file a claim with ebay. So then he finally got in contact with me and told me it was bieng picked up by the shipper soon. Then it turns out he came up with another traking number and now this one was a valid traking number. So i should get it soon. Now the problem is did he shake it up a bit and send it out in revenge of the claim? Or who knows what hees sending me at this point. I guess ill never no. But in the future i guess once i get it and used it for a while ill send it to whites and give it a one over. Or if not as described i could try to get my money back from ebay .This is coming from a guy who had 500 positive feedbacks at a 100 percent. Guess you really cant trust anyone now adays. Guess Ebay is a burn :rage::stars:

Bought mine off EBay a couple of weeks ago. Got a very good deal and the sale went smooth. I typically buy 6-8 items a month from there and haven't had a problem in over 4 years. Even bought a $71,000 motorhome from there. Guess problems do occur occasionally, but I've had more bad experiences from walk in stores than I've had from EBay.

The odds are pretty good you have little to worry about but it is worth the piece of mind to send it in. Fact: Most tune ups boil down to just an inspection, cleaning and a spruce up on easily replacable parts. With a tool that squeeks, beeps, crackles and pops, piece of mind is priceless! (Especially if it's workings are new to you!)

Thanks you guys are the best. If all goes well the Mxt should be a blast and will be ok.But i will most likely send er in anyway like you guys said its better to have piece of mind. I have a feeling this is gona be the best section of the Forum. I will enjoy posting my finds here and seeing the finds of others with the Great Mxt. :please:

White's can fix it if you need, but seems to me you're worrying about problems that may not be at this point. Hope it all goes well.

My first & only machine is a MXT that I bought from a pawn shop two years ago & the only problem that I had was & still is, learning the machine. I would think unless the machine has been ran over by a truck you should end up with a great toy.

Well finally got the Mxt from the dude on ebay. Seems fine its just this dude forgot the bolt that bolts the metal arm cuff to the detector poll. So im gona try to get one local. It doesnt look like it was used much at all. Its been raining here in Cali latly so gota wait a few days till the rain dies out to use it. Cant wait here it is

Glad everything worked out for you. Happy hunting.....

Well went out in heavy and i do mean heavy rain here in Cali to get that bolt i needed for the arm cuff for the mxt. There were massive accidents today and trapped cars everywhere. I picked one up from a Local whites dealer there great. It was only 2 bucks. Ahhh now for the rain to stop. Thanks guys for all the help. Soon will post some finds.:whites::detecting:

You'll probably get a machine thats in decent shape and even if not, Whites is very good about it's customer
service. To give you an example, I bought mine used but eventually my LCD screen started giving me trouble.
I thought I had gotten it fixed but a few months later it began acting up again. I Called whites, told them I was not
the original owner, that I bought it used. They fixed i anyway AND DIDN"T CHARGE ME ANYTHING! Now I'm not saying
thats going to happen all the time to everyone but they do go out of their way to keep customers and NEW ones as well.
Your right, it's a good machine. I have an Ace 250 as well. I went to a school recreation field with the Ace and
took out a nice pile of clad. When back the next day and went over the same area with the MXT and TOOK HOME AS NICE
PILE of clad. As good as the Ace is the MXT found everything the Ace 250 missed and a little more.

About the bolts...Call whites...they may send them to you at no cost.

Happy Holidays
