getting a sov gt with 15inch wot

Reminder, the sensitivity dial is back wards on the GT.......Also you do not need high Sensitivity settings on the GT, especially with a large coil.......keep the sand out of the coil cover the GT will go nuts, and you will think the GT is broke...... Go slow to medium sweep speed is best for the GT .......Have good digging tools, because you will be digging deep targets.. Remember The GT is not water proof so do not get to close the the crashing waves....

Good luck

The WOT is big. I assume that your beach is not covered in trash. The WOT will mask targets. It requires some practice on pinpointing. The GT or at least mine is deeper in discrimination. As long as you swing slowww.

If you have not used a Sovereign before the 15 inch coil will give you too much of a handicap.Learn the GT with a Coinsearch 8 inch or ML 800 coil.I think if you start out with this large coil the Sovereign will be on the auction block in a week or two, another dissatisfied user. HH Ron

If hip or chest mounting the unit, put it in a ziploc bag. It'll help keep water and sweat from getting into the speaker. Finding a sticker or something to cover the speaker hole, might be a good idea.

Enjoy your Sov. It's a GREAT machine. HH-CC.
