Getting a probe now that weight issue is solved !!

Well I received my Legermon Harness for my CZ-5 and it works fantastic !! It truly made my CZ-5 light as a feather and I can swing it for as long as I want. I am picking up a Sun Ray Inline Probe for it today because I really like the probe on my Prism V. I know everyone says to go with the Garrett Propointer but I really like the probe. I like that I dont have to remember to put it on my belt or pick it up when I am through with it because it is always with me. I like the fact that it does not interfere with my detector and I hear the same tones through my headset as I would if I was using the coil. To each their own I guess but this will complete my arsenal and I am very happy !!!

Again::: if you have back problems don't even try one of these harnesses that move the weight from your small arm muscles to your large back muscles..

Work well for many but not for everyone.

As far as probes Sunray is the best for attached probes and Garretts pro pinpointer does a good job as far as hand held ones..Whatever works and many do well with their choice of detector or equipment to supplement the detector for hunting...guess thats why they make blue chevies and red fords.

Didn't bother my back but my main issue was in my wrist , elbow, and shoulder due to rheumatoid arthritis. I agree that different things work for different folks, I am just happy now with what I have and I did not want to give up the CZ-5 due to the weight issue. I also did not like belt mounting it. I love the analog meter on the CZ-5 and I believe that it goes as deep as those big money detectors and I have less than $350 invested with the probe included..It is also a great nickel machine which has always been a pet peave of mine that most detectors I have had could not tell the difference from a nickel and a tab. The CZ-5 is right probably around 90% of the time.

Compared to my Vaquero my CZ5 does feel a tad heavy, but like you I love the analog meter of the CZ5 and find it very accurate. I f you could mount the CZ5 control box on a rod system Iike the 1266x I think it would be much easier to swing for longer periods because of the way it balances.
