in a trade. Ive used a 7 before and despite a few design flaws I like it alot.Havent touched any detectors this year due to geocaching but hope the cz7 will get my interest back, they sure are nickel killers:))

Although only a pole mount its ergonomic design makes it superior to other CZ's in that facet..A bit of a slow pinpoint and will have to remove batteries after each hunt as it uses batteries in storage due to a memory function but despite the small flaws a nice unit although I would prefer the CZ7A which corrected the problems and added an exterior speaker...In any case a nice unit...

Hi Dan,
your absolutely right.Sometimes I think the 7 has slightly better iron disc but not sure.I do believe you can notch out certain targets too which is a nice feature, great balance, looooong battery life!! Maybe BH/Fish will come out with another as they do have a following.Just dont have the bucks or desire to try all the new Fishers though they are creating quite a stir and that is good for all;))

I love recalling how when I got my CZ7 11 years ago, the first target I dug was '23 buff at 8" that id'd correctly. On my way home from picking up the CZ7! Nice detail coin, but the buffalo problem wit the CZ7 I've encountered is only the deepest at 8"+ have id'd correctly. That's only a few in the time I've used it. All my other buffs (lots of 'em) id'd as foil, without exception in every type of soil or gravel matrix at every depth of 1" or greater. A scant few at surface level or within an inch id'd correctly.
