Cool! It's pretty dry up here in the north part of the state...I am done till it rains.
My channel is based out of Alabama. my name on the forums indicates where I spent my whole life until 2019. So if your talking Iowa then yeah I heard it’s been dry. The derecho really messed up CR worse than 08 flood I guess. I lived in extreme southeast corner in lee county, and the rivers are real low right now. Man I’d be water hunting like crazy up there right now. I miss the Midwest badly.

I see! My cousin in Cedar Rapids had no damage to her home and a couple of trees down. My cousin in Palo lost every tree in his yard and some of his roof.

Yes! It was bad by Palo! My moms place is out Blairsferry almost to Palo, she lost 5 mature trees and her garage door was removed from the house!!
I lived downtown in 2008, my house flooded but the neighbors were all way worse! A lot has been lost there in the past 12 years. After the flood, entire late 1800s neighborhoods were taken down.
much prefer the Missouri border where I grew up. A special breed comes from there.

Yeah that derecho was awful where I live 30 minutes south of Cedar Rapids. You’ve only been down south for a year and your already getting a southern accent in your videos??!! :ROFLMAO:

I’ve been told living up there that I sounded southern, (trust me it’s the Missouri border folk up there, talk a little different) and then here I get told I sound Canadian and get “eh!?” As a reply quite often. Guess I can’t win!!!😝

30 minutes south of CR? Lots of good digging opportunity along the cedar, Iowa, and Des Moines rivers. There is some French, British, and settler era stuff if you get diligent!!
