German Button and old spark plug?

Todays finds with my MXT Pro included what looks like part of an old spark plug. Anyone recognize it? I think it had a threaded outer nut like modern spark plugs but the top(shown at the bottom in the pic) has small threads for a wire.

Also found was an old four hole copper button that says "Franz Kurz Landstuhl". Anyone know what it was used on or Date? Google translated it from GERMAN to "Francis Short Landstuhl". The last word is a town in Germany. I can't find any buttons like it. Maybe it was brought back after WW1 or WW2? I have now found at least 6 military buttons like the one found today (pictured) in the same area so it could indicate that someone served in or around Landstuhl, Germany and brought it home. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landstuhl,_Germany

IMO that's an insulated electrode that screws onto the bottom half of a sparkplug, and the button with four holes is modern. An old button would have a loop on the back.

For some reason I cannot look at your photo's, But I can tell you that Landstuhl is the main military hospital in Germany for the U.S. Army. If you can fix the photo problem I can probaly help you with an I.D.

The pics have been failing to load for a couple days, Not sure why it did that. In the error it has 'open image URL', click that and it will show it. I'll use a different image host or start shrinking images and post here, thats a PITA though.

The links I used for pics begin with http:// and end with .JPG , I used the same link in other forums and on EBAY and they all still work fine elswhere. I'm sure the MOD for the forum knows exactly whats wrong, its not the links. This is the same pic but I put it in a LINK...Click HERE for pic.
