When detection an area I always clean up extra trash laying around. this is part of our code. Recently I have noticed in the park some hypodermic needles. I pick these up also but not really sure what to do with them after I pick them up. Has anyone else run into this problem?
How do you handle it? thanks............shipld

Be careful of the needles. Call the city EMT/ Fire if possible for disposal. Never ever handle with bare hands, and dispose of the gloves you use too.
Not only is the needle part dangerous, but so is the outer handling area due to Hep C etc....

I am not an expert on this and am only passing on what our EMT's told me/us the few times we found used needles. They are a Hazardous material in the eyes of medical personnel.
