I'm looking into getting the garret gti 2500. does anyone have this, and what is your feedback? this is going to be my first metal detector but it is not for me, it is going to be used in the search of coins and gold in a dirt and rocky terrain, no sand or water. thanks in advance for the help folks

If your looking for nuggets you might look at the Scorpion. I haven't had one but from what I read about it - looks like a good coin machine also.

I've had one for years and field tested one of the first ones for Garrett. Awhile back they equipped the 2500 with a new chip to make it perform better in the highly mineralized ground of the gold fields in Australia, so it should serve your purpose well.

For whoever uses it - it does have a bit of a learning curve.
