I posted on the Teknetics forum trying to find out what the new G2 software number is, so far, no takers. Guess they are afraid to find out that their G2 ia the same as the GBSE!!!!!

Hi 55

I will post what i think about it.......and give you the version number mainly i am going to compare the coils in my arsenal .... My BUG... it aint going... anywhere.

the G2 with The Great Christmas incentive on the 75 dollar coupon and freebies sounds like a sweet deal....and the Christmas Special Price till 1-15-11....

just another way of making sure my stock is something.... I would use myself...the handle would be nice on the 12X15 ...My Trench Buster...

Thanks for the Great Question...55... hopefully... some of the other dealers... will do some comparisons ...I do not for-see any surprises... If SHE handles as... good ...as.. My Bug.. it will be a Winner.

The unit I received today has software version 1.....it is Good.... head to head... with my bug neither on was any better than the other....I was impressed...

consistency is a good thing .....the touch pads are nicer on the G2...the grip is nice and what you would expect if you are familiar with the t2 or 75...

the coil 11 inch said Teknetics on it and works well...only critical thing i saw was the on- off knob was out of alignment which was easy enuff to fix...Other

than that it was packed well from the factory and double boxed with the heavy duty pick and the cool headphones with a coupon to send for some great

prices on extra coils and goodies and manual.....weight wise with the 11 inch coil ....none issue ...its all about striking the right balance for your height which

is a simple adjustment.....Good Job ...FT...hopefully this will allay any fears or misconceptions ....i would truly be able to smoke-em with either GUN....

Pleas buy a minelab... OR... No button, Dink or old coin will be safe.....Wink...:nopity:

I've got both. Bought the G-2 to hunt relics and in the woods. Won't get near the depth of my ML's on coins. But it is great for what I got it for. HH :minelab::teknetics:

Agree too.

My first good target with the Bug SE was a small copper coin at 8", just as deep as the Exploer with the 5" sunraycoil or deeper.

In the lower conductive range and with coins on edge at depth the GB smokes a few BigGuns...
