has anyone ever had to change the gb as many times as 8 in one 20 acre field I was just wondering are these machines this sinsitive to the ground changes, been hunting with this machine for a couple of years never noticed before, The ground did change alot because I noticed red clay and sand in the same field.

it can happen in some areas. I hunted ground where I used all metal just to keep up with the difference in the ground matrix. thankfully not usual in most areas I hunt.

Hay Butternut ,

I have not experienced that around here on natural ground.

I have experienced that when going from natural ground to
a place with back fill in it. Also the ground has been excavated.

Sometimes natural ground has variations. But in my area, I
can usually set the GB and leave it as long as it doesn't get
accidentally changed. Out of habit, I check it now and then.
