GB after Sensitivity Change?

Hello I am a relatively new owner of a Vaquero, my first Tesoro. The question I have is do you re-ground balance after changing the sensitivity? This is recommended on detectors such as the V3ii, but didn't know if any Tesoro users did this. Probably a good idea though. Thanks and HH.

I wouldn't think that it would have to but it never hurts, only takes a second to push the pinpoint button in and bob the coil up and down a few times to check the ground balance.

I always do but I o my do when hunting relic fields

I've always felt it's worthwhile to double check the ground balance fairly often during a hunt regardless of whether or not you've changed other settings.

I believe this comes from the original Fisher CZ6 manual. I had one of the originals back in 1991.

Anyway, it said to ground balance at the highest sensitivity you can. After that if you reduce the sensitivity ground balance is not an issue. BUT if you increase the sensitivity you need to reground balance.

Thats the rule I've always followed since then regardless of the detector brand I'm using.

Another thought - adjustments get bumped, ground minerlaization may often changes as you move over it. A re-check every so often never hurts a thing.
