Gave up on a new CZ 20

:nopity:I gave up on finding a new CZ 20 so sent mine to Fisher for repair. It will cost nearly $700 according to their estimate. I figured I might as well bite the bullet. If I got one off ebay it would cost that much and not have a warranty. At least this way it should come back working and will have a 90 day work warranty. This is the one with the 8 inch coil and my favorite.

I still have my CZ 20 10.5 inch coil model which is great for open sand bottom or surf. Will be using it, the Excal or Surfmaster till my baby comes home. My rocky bottom hot-spots will be loaded by then.

Did you throw it on a highway overnite...... Man, I have never heard of anyone ever getting charged that much for repairs on any type of machine. That machine must be very dear to you :)

At least you'll get your favorite detector fixed. I wouldn't mind having a CZ-20 with the 5" coil. I've got one spot that I think is loaded with large rocks. I haven't been able to get into the water to look yet. My 20 has the 10.5" coil, and works pretty good on the beaches around here.
