GATX 1250 vs other Garrets

I have. Gatx 1250 I purchased about 8 years ago
Just wondering how it compares to the various Ace detectors detectors.

Is the Ace 250 or 350 an upgrade or is the 1250 considered better than the Ace

I have up graded but the 1250 was a great detector to start out with and I plan on keeping it as it is a great detector for covering a lot of ground and I am about 90 percent for knowing what is under the coil

Thanks
Andy

I think you probably have a better machine, the GTAX 1250 then the ACE Series. You have better discrimination capabilities, a backup light, audio threshold, frequency adjust to tune out EMI or other detectors, volume control and tone control. And nice depth using the Power Master Circuitry. You are doing yourself a favor by keeping it. I know from many posts in the past, a lot of people really liked their GTAX 1250, especially the depth. It is like the GTI 1500 without the imaging. :)

Below is a field test of the GTAX 1250.

John,

thanks for the info. Basically what I was thinking but never had the chance to work with the Aces, so as they are newer models, did not know what advances may have been made.
I will be keeping the 1250 as it is a well preforming detector and easy to use, great for any newbie that may want to go hunting with me

thanks,
Andy
