was from that I met last evening at Spring lake camp. They sold everything that they owned to move to New Orleans......last week. You know the rest of the story. Tim was a waiter in the French Quarter while Ricklyn "redone" old houses.
They seem to be a nice couple like thousands like them. I ask each of them what one thing would they like to have that they didnt necessarily need. Ricklyn told me that a bottle of perfume would be nice. "I dont care what it smells like." Then she said, "No, a bottle of nail polish remover." Tim told me some dress pants and shirt would be nice,(since hes a waiter) I went to walmart again this morning and got what they had ask for.
I also ask Willie and James the same question. Willie replied, "I want my two grandchildren back." (I'm not sure if he lost them in the hurricane on what, but I plan to find out.) I told each of them that I didnt smoke and neither did my wife, but under the circumstances, that I would buy them a couple packs a piece.
I came home for lunch with them all weighing heavily on my heart. I took the stuff to them and found Willie and James down by the lake where I had left them last night. They were each very appreciative. Then James said for me to check out the stringer. I looked down to find 3 nice size catfish. I told them that I would see them tonight.
Next, I went looking for Ricklyn and Tim. I found her waiting in line for a tetnus shot. Tim was at the dentist. I gave her the bag with all the stuff in it and she hugged my neck and said, "God has got us this far--He'll keep looking out for us. I assured her that he would.
Thanks for listening--more later,
