Wife came home from work yesterday and told me about a old house that was boarded up,, grabbed the detector and spent about 2 hours there,, NOT A THING,, well I guess I should say the grass was kinda high,, and I was a bit leery since the day before I got stung 5 times by bees at work,, and knowing i;m allergic spent 5 hours in a hospital getting pumped full of steroids,, Benedryl,, and epinephrine,,, wife got to the hospital just in time to see me go into a mild shock,, when I had a hard time breathing,, and was turning a beautiful shade of red from all the rashes breaking out on my body,, but after about 5 hours of sheer panic,, the rashes started to fade,, I was breathing easier,, and went home to a fitfull night of sleeping,, But i;m still going out detecting,, I;ll ljust make sure I carry my Epi-Pen and a cll phone now,, Man,, I should know better,, a stupid 1998 memorial sure aint worth that trouble,,

Hey Coinhog, I kid you not, next time you got detecting, hit the laundry room first and stick a sheet of "Bounce" in each of your shirt pockets. It really helps me. Bugs including bees don't seem to smell you. Second, I used to not use earphones. Bees wasps yellow jackets seemed to be attracted to buzzing of my detector. I now use earphones only, and keep the volume down as low as possible. Luckily I don't have allergy problems when I get stung....but I sure get pissed off!
