Garrett's New Extreme .

Due out this fall. Not very long to wait. Looks like Garrett is gaining market share as they are pushing new designs quicker than the competition. Good for them as they have always had great customer service. Can't wait to see it in action.

Wonderful, they announce a new machine on the day my AT Pro is delivered. I always did have a great sense of timing. :sadwalk:
 
Think that after reading all the posts on the CTX 3030 when it first came out, gonna wait a year or so, and see how the Garretts users feel about it after real usage, by real detectorists. Maybe it's a home run like the Pro, maybe not. Don't feel like I gotta be the first to have one, and I don't have a current edition cell phone either (my phone doesn't even have the capability to take pictures). Artie

I'm with you on the phones. I have a "dumb" phone and have no intention of upgrading either. I don't text, facebook, twitter or instagram either. When I go out, the wretched phone stays in the car. I see moms and dads at the lake with their kiddos and the adults are staring at their tiny glowing rectangles instead of enjoying the day and their kids. I see others on walks, staring down at a screen, thumbs working maniacally as they walk right past the beauty of nature. Freakin' ridiculous!!

Agree! As for as the Phone I do have an Iphone and it does go with me stays on my belt unless I want to take a pic or Video of my possiable great find I keep looking for LOL
 
Interested in seeing what it is , as well as seeing if they redesigned the area where the Headphones and coil plugs screw in man not sure about everyone else but my big fingers have a tough time thumbing these connectors on as they are so close to the housings. Maybe they made it this way so you would just get frustrated and buy another ATP so you didn't have to change coils LOL Either way I am sure it will be a great detector
 
I'm interested in learning more about it - it sounds like it might be a good match for New Mexico, I'll wait until some field tests start coming in, though. Amen to the 'dumb phone' thing - I've been using a cheap little LG phone from net10 for several years - I buy a $30 card every 60 days, net cost $15/month and it does email and web if I need it. And I 'selectively' forget to carry it pretty often, just not a phone person. The other day, my laundry basket started ringing, heh.

Ya. I have a pay as you go Virgin phone that is about 5-6 years old. Prehistoric by kids standards today. It still does everything though. It has sat in a plastic storage tub for the last three years. I only kept it for emergencies. Bust a leg out there or something. Now I'm told that I don't even have to put minutes on it. If I call 911 for an emergency it will go through regardless as long as the phone is charged. So basicly it is just a rarely used back up. My land line has an anywhere\any time North America set up . So I'll just keep being a cave man.:laugh: As for the new machine, time will tell. I just got the ATP and I'm having plenty of fun with that right now.
 
I think John is holding out on us. He probably has this new machine in his clutches right now laughing a maniacal laughter.... :please:
 
Although the Garrett video says it's a PI machine, there's a rumor it's a PI/VLF combo.
