Garrett's New Detectors!!!???

Is it true that there is a possibility of some new machines coming out?
Kellyco has slashed their pricing on the 2500's and 1500's.
LOOK OUT!!!!!!!

the new machines will be multiple frequency machines, even though the Garrett ads for the 1500 and 2500 made light of multiple freqs: "buying a detector based on the number of frequencies it produces virtually guarantees you will miss treasure each time you go hunting"
I'll probaby end up buying an Ace 250 for my wife/kids, but Garrett made a mistake with their 1500/2500 ads. It will be interesting to see how they spin or backpeddle!

Very valid points Varmint! It will be interesting indeed.

I didn't mind them slashing the 2500 prices, so I bought one. I also wondered about their claims single freq. versus multiple.
As soon as the weather breaks, my wife may show some interest, a 250 would be great for her. Good mothers day present <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
I am sure that Garrett is working on something, that is the only way to stay in business and on top.

Instead of "I probably will end up buying" replace that text with "This morning I did end up buying".
Yep, my first Garrett machine in more than 2 decades, and it's the little yeller feller.
I want to give it a fair shake before I do any sort of report, the only property I have to test on right now is my own, and it has been detected to the nth degree by my Minelab EXP II.
Sure wish it had a volume control though, that little guy is LOUD!

I think the amazing little 250 is just a precursor of things to come and if the new machines operate as the 250 has the competitors will get caught with their pants down.
Bill

Maybe it will be something more hi-tech than multiple frequencies. This isn't the absolute end in detector design.
Bill

Prepare to be surprised. Do you have earphones with volume control?
