Garrett Vs Garrett

I have an ace 300.The 250 replaced ace 100 and ace 300. The 250 has push button controls ;while the 300 had the ones which can be turned on and off. They can be bumped and change your setting. I dont have this problem. They both can id objects and pinpoint as well. The 300 is an older machine, but in my opinion just as good as the 250.The 300 will be a little cheaper to buy as well.

Much more technology built into that little yellow box. It's lighter and has more bells and whistles.

Absolutely not. Shy away from the 300. I have field tested both for Garrett so I can say this with some authority. The 250 is light years ahead of the 300 which is no longer in production other than under a private label agreement to Kellyco as the Predator.

I stand corrected. being fairly new to the hobby(about 2 1/2 months; I wasnt aware of the big difference between the 250 and 300. Ive had my 300 for almost 2 yrs , but just recently started using it.Im hooked and have good results with the 300, but given what I've learned through my research; I'd definitely go with the 250.More bang for the buck. Sorry for the confusion. Like the caveman said in the Geico commercial said ; "you should have done a little more research".LoL

Uncle Willy... Thanks for the positive comments on the 250. I recently bought one and very impressed. I also have the frequency shift and currently plan to use it in "open hunts."
