garrett trade ins?

Garrett will sometimes discount a new metal detector with a trade in. You have to ask and I believe it's on an individual bases based on the particulars.
I would suggest you check with both Garrett and your dealer to see which way you will come out the best. Garrett only sells at full retail, so your discount will be off of that price, plus they will charge you shipping. Your dealer probably sells at a discount price (if he wants to stay in business), you won't have to pay shipping, and if he has it in stock you can walk out of there and use it that day instead of waiting for it to be mailed.
