Haven't found enough deserving of a post for a few days, but today, with my hunting buddy, Chris, I managed to get my coil over 3 silver dimes. Well, almost 3. The 40 Merc. tangled with a lawn mower as well as a Rosie last week.

Started the morning off almost immediately with a wheat cent and a few minutes later a 43d Merc. from about 2" near some tree roots. About 45 minutes later got another sweet hit and from 5" popped the 1914 Barber. About 2 1/2 hours later dig a 3 ringer, another wheat cent and the 40 Merc.

Last week I managed 2 Mercury dimes, 2 Rosie dimes, ( 1 lawn mower dinged) a junk ring, a few pieces of lead, a fob and a token. Haven't found anything on the token as of yet.

We are having beautiful detecting weather down here. Hope many of you all are able to get out. Nothing stops John E I notice. HH jim tn

You know I'm teasing buddy..Great recoveries Jim......... Your hitting the silver very well so far this year..

Chris mentioned to check my last year's stash, which I will do. Know I have 2 or 3 clipped Merc's and Rosies. Maybe one WILL FIT! Location and law of averages. Swing near every day and even you and Mudpuppy stand a chance of getting your coils over a silver piece. HH jim tn

:help: Mudpuppy........... Jim's after us..I bet John Edmonton would have found both pieces..hahahahahhahaa.......

and you know Del out in Oregon would have found all the pieces.... Right Del ????

Ahhhhh, jeez! All right!

Muddpuppy and John? By the time they thaw out it will be winter again and they couldn't find a piece of a steaming apple pie.

You and Del, easy! It takes a good detector to find silver and for you guys, that detector hasn't been made yet. :help: is what you guys need.

:surrender:..................................:goodnight:

You got a nice variety of finds Jim. Always nice to open a post and see silver staring me back in the face. :)

That would be really cool if you do have the other half piece in your stash! Or, take half a merc and half a rosie and solder them together even! Thats a nice barber..great hunting!

You are right about that apple pie...I havnt gone hunting ONCE this year! :sadwalk: I doubt if I could find a manhole cover in a flower pot! I need to take a 3 day haul out of the snow zone and get some swing time in...I will hit the sledding hill this week, just on the principle of it..keep the posts and finds coming..I know we say it every year, but THIS is gonna be your gold coin year...!:please:
Mud.
