Garrett Sea Hunter Mk11

I'm thinking of buying a Sea Hunter MK11.
Is this a good beach detector and shallow water detector??
I'd appreciate your advice.

I believe you mean Sea Hunter Mark II (2 not eleven). I owned one for a couple of weeks. I used it in dry and wet sand as well as the water. My only problem with it was that it was heavy and very bulky. I tried it mounted on the shaft a couple of ways, chest mount and hip mount. None of them were comfortable for me so I got rid of it. I now have a White's Surf PI that was modified by Mr. Bill. Great detector and well balanced, light weight and very easy to use. White's detectors are mounted in a light weight plastic container compaired to the heavy ones used by Garrett. :detecting:
