Garrett Sea Hunter II

Hi Gang, I've been following this web site for a few years and decided I'd join up (One doesn't want to rush into these things, ha.).

I have a wide variety of interests, and I have a general interest in all things metal detecting, but focus on coin shooting, gold-nugget hunting, and beach hunting when I can get to a lake or ocean. I am an amateur radio operator as well and I like to combine ham radio with all my other interests.

Finally, I also promote home defense ensured by superior firepower.

Anyway, I have a Garrett Sea Hunter II that I press into all-around duty. I'd like to know others' experience with using a Sea Hunter II as an all-purpose machine. I never have tried cache hunting with the Sea Hunter II and I'd like to know if any of you folks have done this and what your experiences were. Thanks.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi to all, especially those who have an intractable case of gold fever like I do! Good hunting to all you folks. ~HR

Welcome aboard. I have a Sea Hunter that I got last year, but only got to use it a few times in the water. For the land I use my 2500. Not much help, just a welcome.

Welcome to the forum. I have no experience with the Sea Hunter ll either, but there are plenty of people on this forum who can advise you. Happy hunting.

I have a SH Mark II and love it.. I use it only for the beach and don't think I would dare to use it on land...as you know the SS is a PI detector and to use
on land will destroy your digging tools....It is not uncommon to dig a target at the beach at bout 24 inches so figure it out on land and with all the hits
you will get will either break you back or make you very strong,,,,with all that said, it is not the machine for the land digging...use it at the beach or lake
and get another machine for coin shooting.

So, what do you do in your spare time, HR? Hope you find something special with the Sea Hunter ll...
