I finally used it for the first time and I will say I cannot detect without it. Oh man I love it. Now I'm saving up for the CTX 3030 even though it isn't Garrett.

I agree as I have just ordered one from Bart at Big Boys Hobbies. Thanks Bart for your outstanding service. My Grandson started learning the metal detecting hobby and I gave him an Ace 250 and my first Pro Pointer. I have used a second Pro Pointer for several years. It goes hunting with me or I don't go hunting. It is missing a little paint but performs like new. The third one will be a backup/loaner as required. Anyway runninnavaho, you might consider one of the Garrett AT Pro machines because you can't go wrong with one of those, either.

Ive driven back home to get mine
on those occasions where old age
affected me!!!!!!!

I've been looking at Garretts and at tesoros price inst a problem seeing that it will pay foe itself in the first year, but Im still debating on brand dependability seeing that they are all really great.

I would not want to go detecting without my Pro Pointer. Mine has been acting a bit erratic lately. Sometimes it does not want me to turn it on and sometimes it just turns itself off. I am not sure if it is the switch or maybe the battery is not making good contact. I can not get the danged thing to act up when I am at home. It only gets cantankerous when I am out in the field. I Hate to have to sent it in for repairs as I can not imagine trying to detect without it.

I broke down and ordered mine today. The amount of time I spend trying to figure out where the goodies are has got to be reduced based on the reviews I've read. Also bought a Lesche digging tool, too. I've bent or broken 3 other lesser tools. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money!

Amen to that!!!!

You will not believe how much quicker you can find your target with the Pro Pointer. It makes detecting much more fun. You will also enjoy that Lesche Digger. Makes cutting a plug much easier and it is sturdy!!!!

Don't leave home without it. When you pinpoint with your coil then take the propointer and get right on top of a shallow target and pop it out with a screwdriver instead of digging a plug. Once you get used to using it, it will speed up your recovery and allow you to dig smaller holes or none at all.
