Garrett Propointer causing interference on my Sidewinder

88junior

Well-known member
I took my newly acquired Sidewinder out yesterday and it performed great. The only trouble I had was when I used my Propointer the Sidewinder would make a sizzling sound which is pretty irritating have any you got any tips or tricks to fix this problem? Thanks

Lay the detector down at a 90degree angle to you and the target putting the coil as far from the pinpointer as practical.

I tried that BB and it still sounded like bacon sizzling, I didn't think to try turning my sensitivity down I will try that on my next hunt.

Well no wonder they don't like one another they both run on 12 kHz. I wish I had a frequency shift on my Sidewinder dag nab it.
