garrett propointer and the outlaw

Has anyone else found their propointer goes nuts when hunting with the outlaw. I thought mine was just starting to take a crap the last several weeks but today when i switched to the f2 it was fine. I then compared both machines and the outlaw is whats causing the weird pointer behavior. Anyone?

I had a Garret PP and it crapped out in one month of use--going crazy while laying there in the metal-free grass. Went to a Minelab and its now doing the same thing. Now that you mention it, Im not sure ive had the issues when using my Fisher F5, so you might be on to something. I'll check it out and let you know whenever I get the chance to hunt again.

I have had this happen a couple times with the Golden and Garrett PP too. I just move the detector further away and all is good.

As long as I keep it a foot away the pinpointer is okay. Spent two hours detecting last night without a problem.

I tried it again today and its crazy, it does not like the outlaw. I thought it was starting to take a crap. It will just start beeping outa control. I turn it off and it's fine for a sec then crazy again. Turn the outlaw off and it's totally fine. Wacky wild stuff huh?

All detectors and probes can cross interfere.Cell phones really need to be off while detecting also.Boy idx,if there is trouble around you know you going to find it first right?

Spirit, i just really analyze everything i can. Dont get me wrong, im enjoying every bit of this hobby.

Happens with My Vaquero as well must be all that hot circuitry  I always turn my cell phone off as well because it will cause falsing issues sometimes Ive noticed

they are close in Khz i keep my coil away from the pro pointer , and it works fan

I've had problems several times with the PP. I stuck a quarter under the cap to put a bit more pressure on the battery and that seems to have cured it.
