Garrett Pro Pointer

I realize it's no big deal to the people who own them, but I just received my Garrett Pro Pointer, and this little tool kicks major butt! What a nice device. I think I'll be saying how did I live without this. No wonder this hobby is so popular....lots of toys to play with!

So true that once you actually use a garrett pro pointer you will not want to go hunting with out it for it saves so much time in recovery and battery life is excellent...Markmac

i went out today an noticed it was not in my holder... i went back to the last site visited and there it was laying out.. :clapping:

Same thing happened to me in Maui last year. Spend over an hour re-tracing my steps but found it. Propointer is awesome.

I absolutely love mine!! I was headed on a 2 hour drive to detect, got 45 mins into the drive and realized I didn't have it... so I drove all the way back just to get it. Detecting without it after using it is proposturous!

[size=large]don't forget to put some kind of tape over the speaker. mud gets in there and it's hard to get out. it looks like you can wash it in the ad but read it or watch the videio closely and you'll see that your instruted to cover the speaker when washing the probe.
the biggest complaint for hand probes is losing them. you really have to be mindful of where it's at.

Don't Leave Home With-out It.

I did not care for the holder the pointer came with, it uses a button snap which came undone a few times. I found a holder at Lowe's which was longer and had both a loop for the belt and a clip

I wear a carpenters vest and have riveted the left pocket on the chest so I can put Propointer on one side and my trusty screwdriver on the other side and they stay up and down like they should. When not actually using the Propointer it goes right back in that pocket. Lost it once for a while and do not want that to happen again. Anyway I find it handy.

The pinpointer is great when you find a pocket spill,I would had a terrible time when I found 43 pennies in a less than 2 square foot area. Another time I found a clad dime with pinponter when vdi read 85, the pro did not give another signal on recheck, the pointer found a deeper quarter which had turned on edge during the dig.
