Garrett Pro Pinpointer

i just purchased my new Garrett Pro Pinpointer today and i was just wandering if there might be a way to tune it where it only pinpoints from the tip instead of the tip and the sides at the same time? please let me know. Thanks

You can detune it to decrease it's sensitivity. Turn it on, put a coin about 1/2'' from the tip. Turn it off, then turn it on again. It should now mostly work off the tip.

Like John said.
When I srated using mine I was afraid it might have too much detecting range (for a PP). But after finding out it can be detuned, I can customized it to some degree to suit my needs.

I don't know why you would want to do that (I guess you have your reasons) as using the side may help find your target much easier in the hole or a pile. My PP at times has to be right over the target especially if it is small before it will do its thing but if you swing it side ways it will kinda..."pinpoint" the object a little better as it covers more area and your target.
