Garrett Master hunter V

I have an old Garrett Master Hunter V a.d.s.and it works perfectly. Any one know if it is worth anything? I was going to sell it and get the boy a machine. He wants to go with me and I want to surprise him for his birthday.

I think they can be sold for around $200.00. They are still a great machine compared to what is produced today. They get great depth.

Just for giggles and grins, you may want to check with Garrett; they will sometimes give trade in value for older machines (send an email with what you have and what you want.) I just traded in an older detector toward the AT Pro w/ the extra coil (spring special.) I feel like the trade in value was a lot more than what I could have gotten selling the old machine outright. Granted, I didn't get the digger, apron, and/or other accessories some of the online retailers are offering, but I got the hardware I wanted at a good price, plus it lessened the trauma of giving up the old machine...
