Started out as an idea, and worked. A simple, yet effective way of winterizing, and protecting your investment.

"A DUCK TAPE DETECTOR COVER"

Almost done.....as I bought some camo duck tape and want to make it look nice. The plans are done in a pictorial fashion to make it easy for all. Any questions....let me know :)

John i had trouble when I used duct tape on my grandmaster hunter with the meter responding to the foil in the tape. hope u don't have same prob.

I had problems with my first analog type years ago where the needle would jump around because of static electricity. I called Garrett and they said that the problem could be solved by rubbing an anti-static cloth on it and it worked like a jiffy. :)

Yeah I've used the stuff longer than I can remember and have repaired about everything with it, including emergency car repairs. The Army used to have an WWII amphibious vehicle called the "Duck" which may have been patched from time to time with duck tape.
