hello, i am about to buy the Garrett Infinium LS. did anyone used it underwater. any commets please
thank you
happy easter

Hi braich77, I use the LS for wet beach sand, shallow water (surf &creeks) prospecting and scuba diving. The unit when set up in the scuba configeration is very comfortable to use underwater even with the standard 10x14DD coil which is what I currently use. I will be purchasing the new generation of garrett coils for the infinium soon. these coils are a vast improvement over the normal coils being extremely quiet and stable from reports on the garrett infinium forum. Here is the site just paste it into your browser and save it into favorites.http://www.p2p-zone.com/infinium/viewforum.php?f=1&sid=16ec479f94e103f476428fe372e08e72
If you log on here you will find a vast amount of knowledge from some terrific people. HH regards Nugget.:detecting:

I used it last year (my first year) and did very well with it. I used it under water quite a bit. I had no problems. But, as you walk out into the water, the unit starts to false a little when the water gets to bout a foot below the electronics. This can be quickly remedied by putting the electronics under the water.

Here's a slide show I made using my Infinium Last year. Give it a minute to download:
