Garrett Has A New Metal Detector In The Works......

Oh man ! What a teaser of an advert !

Will someone leak the name of this new detector ?

Or ....... show us the front panel ?

List some specs / features ?

Details on the coils ?

Will it be heavy ?

Will it do the digging too ? :starwars: :chase:

There is one thing I got to say ......

If this new detector thats due for Fall of 2011 is the be waterproof, they got to do a better job than they did with the AT Pro !

Seems that the AT Pro is not living up to is specs in this department at the moment, I see that another one has leaked and let water pass into the housing. I am now waiting for the two that I have to do the same thing, and when they do, they will be returned and I will be requesting a new 2 year warrenty on the unit for everything, they should of got it right the first time round.

Garrett, it's time to have quality control issues sorted before you even think about releasing a new detector on to the market.

yea, i know what you mean about the leaking , i bought an at pro specially to take to spain to use in the water----- now i darn`t use it. i will have to take my old machine

I noticed that there is a lack of lightweight detectors at a reasonable price for any brand of detector despite the demand for detectors like the AT. There must be a reason for this. Despite the seemingly inherent difficulties, I tip my hat to Garrett for taking on such a task. They knew the risks of making a waterproof detector, at the price they did- especially the risks of dissatisfied customers because of leakage.

I'm not saying that the the failures that they have are OK, but that they are going all out to make an innovative, favorably priced detector that outperforms many other detectors at twice the price. Garrett is known for innovation and they are tough enough and capable enough to endure the growing pains of implementing their innovation. :ninja:

Stay away from those Lot Lizards QH

Hmmmmm do you think Garrett will take our AT-PRO"s in on trade for this new Unit

Well said...

I'm guessing there is going to be a flood of AT Pros on the secondary market around Christmas time. Just a guess.

Good. Then I will pick up another one.

Remember the caution in the Auto Industry... Never Buy The First New Model.

Given what we have all seen with the AT Pro, we should be learning from experience. I personally believe that all of the AT Pros should be recalled and replaced. Mine make a better Beeper then is does a detector
