My buddy and I headed out of Edmonton this morning for a hunt at an old pic-nic site. There was a creek near by, so we hunted it too. My buddy got the oldest coin today, a 1919 Wheat cent. I got the most clad. It was a fun time getting out. Kind of cool though. It was 4C/39.2F.......jackets and rubber boots were in the cards.

Here are the better finds. My buddy eyeballed that Goddess Statue.....kind of a neat find. The MAX got the wind up key and vintage toy bulldozer.

And....as is typical where I hunt....where there is water and gravel, there is petrified wood. I collect it now, to give to the Nurses I work with on my orthopedics ward at the Hospital.

The Hindu statue is most likely a votive offering, placed, tossed or thrown into the water with payers offered. Bit of a kerfuffle down here recently about an add for 'lamb' in the national diet!
