Garrett GTI 2500 vs White

I'm looking for someone who owns the 2500 as well as top end Whites or Fisher's. I'm hoping they can comment on their likes/dislikes of their metal detectors.
I know that posting this here is kinda sacrilegious, but I'm sure each has their pros and cons. I've found over the years that everyone tends to have a favorite, and is biased in that direction, but I also know that no one company is perfect, and is often better at a certain segment of the market.

So if there is anyone out there that has or have had the GTI2500 and a comparable Fisher or White, I'd sure appreciate hearing from you.

Thanx

I've never used the Garrett 2500, But I do own the Whites XLT. The XLT is SWEET.
If you want to watch the Garrett 2500 in use, check out my video page at youtube ( below ), its all metal detecting by many different detector users. Look for ( ryannlag ), they use the garrett 2500 and have some good videos showing it in use.
You can also do a search at youtube for Garrett 2500, many good comparison videos will come up as well as instructional videos on how to operate it correctly. Good luck on your choice!

Thanks for your reply and I'll definitely check out your video's.
I own the GTI 2500 and the ACE 250 and am very happy with them.
If I were to talk pro's and con's, the weight on the 2500 is is con, which is even heavier with a Sunray probe. I do love the imaging on the 2500 as a pro.
I'd like to add another detector to my arsenal and have been doing research on the white's and fisher's and am looking for opinions from folks who've owned both or maybe even all three. I see you own the F2, F4, and White XLT. Any comments about what you like/dislike between these two brands. Do you have a favorite?

I can speak for the F5. Easy ,deep, and will find coins on the beach or in the mountains here in NC. But best of all is the response from fisher with a problem. Called em' and they said "send it in" when it started misbehaving! No haggling or fingerpointing. Just good ole' fashioned service. I, like you, am interested in otherbrands also! (Good is good).....this was ment for the 2500 vs Fisher post, sorry Gabby

Years ago I bought the 2500 and had been using it for a couple months. Most of the areas I was hunting the ground was hot.Never did find anything deep.
Brother in law called from tenn. and said he had found a camp so off I went with the 2500 and the bandido umax.
He was using the xlt.
We started hunting a 5 acre yard and he was digging bullets and I was digging nothing.I told him the next target he came across to holler at me.
It wasent long before he called out and I went over to where he was.He told me that all the bullets which were 5 had come in had registered to almost 90
0n the screen.
The target was reading 5 inches deep and this one was coming in at 88 on the screen.
As I ran the coil over the target with my 2500 it read NOTHING..
I could run it in all metal and it would pick it up but the meter reading was all over the place.
After him digging the target it was a minnie a little less than 5 inches deep.
The ground was really hot but the xlt hit it but the garrett crapped out.
I put the 2500 up and got the bandido out and it didn't do great but it did much better than the 2500.
We enede up with 130 bullets in 2 days.
When I got back home in louisiana I sold the 2500.In the relic fields I run into some terrible ground. The 2500 just didn't cut it.

Well I've decided on the V3i.After researching the Etrac, F75, and the V3i, the V3i came out the as the MD that most intrigued me. I've ordered it and should be here in about a week. I'm a teckie type so I like the fact I'm able to customize a unit to my preferences. I'll post a few comments after using it to let you folks know what I think.
Thanks for your comments.
