Garrett GTI 2500 vs Fisher

I'm looking for someone who owns the 2500 as well as top end Whites or Fisher's. I'm hoping they can comment on their likes/dislikes of their metal detectors.
I know that posting this here is kinda sacrilegious, but I'm sure each has their pros and cons. I've found over the years that everyone tends to have a favorite, and is biased in that direction, but I also know that no one company is perfect, and is often better at a certain segment of the market.

So if there is anyone out there that has or have had the GTI2500 and a comparable Fisher or White, I'd sure appreciate hearing from you.

Thanx

My recommendation is go to a multi line dealer for demo's.....all top of the line units have their plus and minus features and a lot depends on how well the operator knows his unit and of course personal preferences come into play....I will not compare but can say the GTI2500 is big and boxy and if this is what your looking for might think about the GTI 1500 which is lighter and easier to handle with most of the same features.

Thanks for your reply but part of my problem is that I live no where close to any dealers.
I own the 2500 and a 250 and I've been considering adding to my arsenal. I've been looking at a few of the Fisher's and White's but was hoping someone out there in metal detecting land has owned both a 2500 and a top end Fisher, and is willing to comment about their likes/dislikes of each.
Thanks Again

Gabby I can give you my 2 cents worth and it might help; I started years ago with a 2500 and I have had most of minelabs SE , Sov. ect and I have a Fisher F75 LTD.
The 2500 was vry fast I thought and easy to use BUT it was very limited for me anyhow on depth. I could not find anything much over 5 inchs; Big objects like cast iron stove door once was 16 inches but it was also huge chunk of iron. The sov minelabs were good machines but had to be used very slow and if it was a fresh drop; forget it. It worked on old buried coins but in a park after a event it was really a bummer on the fresh dropped stuff. Now the F75 ltd. I find it to go fast or you can slow down but it does not seem to miss targets either way and the depth I find is the best of all three brands. It consistantly finds coins 6 to 8 in deep in colorado which is pretty mineralized soil. It hits fress drops and old buried alike. Plus even tho it apears to be a light fragil tool it is only light it does not apear from use to be real fragil. I would think any md would need reasonable care but it dont brake just looking at it like it apears it would ; the weight is a wondrful thing for long hours, I give out before the arm does.
Just my opinion but like i have been told for years you got to learn from others experience because you ant gonna live long enough to experience everything yourself. Give one a test drive. and good luck to you.

Thanks Grumpy!
I really appreciate your opinion and this is exactly what I'm looking for. Opinions from folks who've used a variety of detectors and tend to always choose one over any other because of certain features. I know that alot is just personal preference and that is ok. I like both my GTI 2500 and the ACE 250, but if you never try another brand how can you compare? There will always be die hard fans from each manufacturer, but no detector is perfect, and certain detectors preform better under certain conditions.
Thanks Again for your thoughts.

Gabby,

Grumpy is right. I had the GTI 2500 and basically did not get much past 5 maybe 6 inches. The imaging is very cool. I think the problem is with the ground balancing. The GTI only gb in all metal. The Fishers have them beat on depth. I also think the CZ's are still some of the deepest units. I have the std F75 and absolutely love it. The depth of the Fishers are second to none (even against Minelab).
