If anybody is familiar with this machine it would be appreciated. I found one for sale for $150.00 with two coils. A standard one and a much larger coil. Is thisna good deal? Does anyone know how well they work?

hey dirtdigger 33 , i have owned a CX3 for many years. it's a good mechine .i have a 8inch coil on
mine . i have found many pieces of silver with it. last year my oldest coin was 1857 seated liberty.
the only thing i don't like about the mechine it's a little heavy. i like the fact it talks to me.infact one day while hutting it spoke to me telling me low battery and i jumped because i was not expecting it to talk to me. i bought my mechine used and gave more than what you are talking about there.if it is in good shape this is a great price. i have found out one thing they will not find anything if it sits in the closet.
happy hutting TONY ROLL TIDE

Great machine and one of my all time favorites. Treasure Talk feature is pretty cool, but I never really use it. :wiggle:CX3 has a very deep non-motion true All Metal Mode. It's great because it still target IDs in non-motion All Metal Mode. The motion disc modes are all cool, too. The "Beach" mode has a salt elimination feature that's not really mentioned anywhere in the owner's manual, but Garrett's following machines had a "Salt Elimination" feature which could be selected for any motion disc mode.
The CX3 with PowerMaster circuitry get about 20% more depth over the original. Better target ID at depth as well. If yours has PowerMaster circuitry it will say in red letters on the side of the detector.
There's a wide variey of search coils available for the CX3 as well. You also have the option of using the Treasure Hound two box depth multiplier attachment which will find metal several feet in depth.
