Garrett Gold Stinger Loves :canadaflag: Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, Loonies & Toonies

I can't believe all the dimes and nickels I've been missing. I re-hunted a couple of spots today that I've hunted many times during the last 10 years. This machine loves our coins. I thought that the ACE Series was good for these coins, but the SCORPION STINGER is even better :beers:

And.....this was my 5th hunt, About 7 hours on the rechargeable batteries and they still give 5 beeps for a battery check! Unbelievable......

It's a nice to use an audio modulated machine for a change. And it luvs pulltabs, which gives me a high % of getting gold rings....now if only the coil would go over one....

From what you are saying, is that it screams a lot louder on pull tabs than coins, or just gold rings?
I think that I am going to blame you for getting my interest in the Stinger.:poke: The GTI has been a bit of a disappointment in the end, so I think that it is time to replace it. Having a machine that can do some gold hunting would be nice.
How does it go on the sound of your pennies to your screw caps?
Mick Evans.

It sounds off harder on nickels then pennies. It gives a quick "wow" type of sounds on our dimes and quarters. When backing off from a target in true all metal mode, a sudden stopping audio is a good sign for a shallow coin. A "Not" sudden stop means that the target is deeper. It is an animal entirely on its own when compared to the GTI or ACE Series. And it is a little more versatile, as it is a great gold hunter for small nuggets, has the ability to be ground balances for mineralized soil, has the ability to check hot rocks, is a good coin hunter and also meteorite hunter.

It also has the slots on the box to wear it on your belt or chest mount it. It gets great battery life also on recharge-ables.

Good finds their John .

Is the All Metal (AM) mode better (deeper) than on the GTI 2500? I find the AM on my 2500 finds coins deeper than I normally care to dig. I used AM in a bark chip area today with the scorcher coil and found half of a small link of a chain that was deeper than the blade of my Lesche too (7 inches.) It screamed out so loud I dug it. I really like hunting bark chip areas this way now except for all the bobby pins I find.

As you know I do not find many Canadian coins other than pennies. If I hunted in AM more I would find many more, I'm sure. I can see your findings indicate this as well.

I am not going to buy a new detector until 2009 and you are selling me on a Scorpion more and more. I'd love to see you find a few nuggets!

Chris

Did you see the Toonie I found yesterday. The GTI 2500 loves them too.
