I am going to say depends upon the year of the Groundhog if its the Standard Groundhog 15khz or the Groundhog Gold Hunter.
Plus Garrett played some connector games, you may have a connector with pins on the control box or could be with sockets.
More or less so to make the consumer think he would have to buy the latest model coil replacements, instead of buying a used older model coil cheap
that could have just a new coil connector put on. Also, folks were putting Dtex coils on for better performance, connector changes were also done to
prevent guys from buying Dtex coils.............
Pictures of my Gold hunter that I rewired with new coil connectors. Original connector wires were red and black.
This email I sent to Brad a number of years ago might help with the Gold Hunter and Master Hunter units
----------------------------------------------------
Garrett ADS Deepseeker 5.5kz four pin connector types to ADS Master Hunter 7 five pin connector types.
Here are the pinouts for both the 4 pin connector and 5 pin connector.
The Shield (bare) wire is on Pin 1-------BLACK PCB
Black wire is on Pin 2---------------------ORANGE PCB
Red wire is on Pin 3-----------------------RED PCB
White wire is on Pin 4--------------------BROWN PCB
If there is a green wire it is not connected to anything, also if it is a 5 pin connector there is nothing connected to the center pin.
Please let me know if you need any other assistance.
Thanks,
Brad Keel
